Lake Kayaking

  • Coeur d'Alene Kayak: Paddle Lake Coeur d'Alene around Cougar Bay Nature Preserve. you'll paddle over crystal waters along scores of pine. Learn about Native cultures of the area, early pioneer history and more. We often see osprey, bald eagles, great blue herons and more as your guides spin tales of the natural wonders around the lake. Four hour trips depart daily at 8:30 AM. Single and double kayaks are available. The recommended minimum age is 5 years.

  • Sunset Kayaking: Finish your day gliding peacefully through the waters of Lake Coeur d'Alene. Watch the osprey dive for fish and see the deer leisurely eating shoreline vegetation. The recommended minimum age is 5 years.

Whitewater Rafting

  • Spokane River: Make your day special with a fun four-hour whitewater adventure or gentle float on the lower Spokane River. The whitewater season runs during May and June, while the season for gentle floats occurs during July and August. Trips depart twice daily.

  • Moyie River: During the months of May and early June, this full-day intermediate whitewater trip is just under two hours north of Coeur d'Alene. The river flows through a thick cedar forest and wildlife sightings are common. Minimum age is 14 years. Lunch, wetsuits and rafting gear is included.

  • St. Joe River: From June to early July, the St. Joe River is an action-packed day of paddle-smashing fun! Flowing from the Idaho/Montana border, there are plenty of class III rapids. Minimum age is 14 years. Lunch, wetsuits and all rafting gear is included.

  • Albertson Gorge of the Clark Fork River: Offered all of July and August, this is the perfect trip for families and first-time rafters, the Clark fork offers warm water and plenty of fun class II and III rapids. It's just 1.5 hours East and over the border in Montana. Includes a gourmet riverside lunch. Minimum age is 5 years. Inflatable kayaks are available for those seeking even more adventure.

ROW Adventures offers guided fly fishing trips on the Coeur d'Alene and St. Joe Rivers for novice or experienced anglers. Our expert guides will introduce you to this inspiring sport, or if you're an experienced angler, let us share our secrets with you and help you improve your technique. We offer your choice of trips in rafts or drift boats or, walk-and-wade trips. These beautiful clear-water rivers are home to big numbers of hungry cutthroat and rainbow trout anxious to rise on a well-placed fly. The Coeur d'Alene River, just 30 minutes from the city of Coeur d'Alene flows over 80 miles before it enters Lake Coeur d'Alene. The St. Joe River comes from the Idaho/Montana border and is a federally protected and designated Wild & Scenic River. The scenery is stunning on both of these world-renowned fly fishing rivers. The season starts in early April with prolific golden stone hatches, following a natural entomological progression through the spring and summer months. Mayflies, caddis, hopper and other terrestrial hatches abound in these waters and keep the fish hungry and active. From mid-September through October, these rivers have one of the largest caddis hatches in the western states making for outstanding fishing.
