Beverly’s Restaurant on Lake Coeur d’Alene is not only one of the principal fine dining establishments in the entire Pacific Northwest and greater Rocky Mountain regions, but it offers a perk that few, if any, other restaurants do: a daily, and complimentary, tour of our world-famous wine cellar. Every day, at 4:30 in the afternoon, one of our two staff sommeliers—with a combined experience of over 50 years of curating stupendous wine collections between them—will greet and escort you down to our main cellar room. The tour includes a taste of one of our fabulous wines, selected by our sommeliers and based upon your individual preference, in addition to the interactive tour where you may ask questions to your heart’s content.
Wine is about time and place, it is both art and science, it challenges the mind, and enchants the spirit—so we at Beverly’s Restaurant believe that a contextual accompaniment to all that encapsulates what wine is contributes another layer to its appreciation. Thus, we want to pour you a complimentary taste of wine and lead you on a complimentary tour of our wine cellar. To see the place where wine matures to its utmost potential and greatness, and to witness the care and attention given to each of these respective bottlings, to be told of their terroir and their provenance, and to be led upon a tour of such a place by a wine steward of distinction and background in these offerings lends a fullness to the experience that drinking it alone never could. If you doubt any of this, take us up on our invitation and be transported figuratively to a place apart; let your gaze drift while down in our wine cellar and you might almost imagine you’re in Old Europe or the Napa Valley or in the storied halls of Barossa; and ask those things you’ve always wanted to ask and allow us to make wine a little less mysterious, and a little more alluring.
No reservations are needed, simply arrive at Beverly’s a few minutes before 4:30 any day of the week, the tours depart promptly. Come and see that although Lake Coeur d’Alene boasts numerous natural charms of stunning boreal wilderness and beauty, there are finer comforts to be had as well. Wine is, perhaps, foremost among these.
