Golfing at the Resort: An Unmatched Waterfront Experience

Home of the world’s only Floating Green, The Coeur d’Alene golf experience is an amazing round of golf and SO much more!

Imagine this: after arriving in a handcrafted mahogany boat shuttle, a personal forecaddie greets you at the dock and takes care of your every need. You enjoy a relaxing pre-round massage and then your caddie takes you to your golf cart, one that is complete with an interactive touchscreen GPS and all. After playing finely groomed tees with surprising lake views at every turn, you finish your round with a plate of tasty food and an ice cold beer.

And although I may be the most clumsy, uncoordinated and inelegant human being to walk this planet, even I can admit that our golf course is an impressive one. So impressive, in fact, that I, a woman who is all thumbs, actually looks forward to planning a day for me and my girlfriends to head out here for a few swings! Followed by mimosas at the Floating Green Restaurant, of course (or maybe before is a better idea…).

And even the experts at Golf Digest, Golf Magazine and Condé Nast Traveler agree – a round at The Coeur d’Alene is a golf experience like no other. The most remarkable encounter on the course, and one that I am personally anxious to come across out of fear of pure embarrassment, is the famous Floating Green: an engineering island marvel and worlds only movable green, computer controlled to daily distances. After the tee shot to the par 3, 14th Hole, golfers are ferried to the island via a uniquely designed electric boat, dubbed “Putter”, to finish the hole.

18-hole tee time reservations are scheduled every 10 minutes based on seasonal daylight hours.
