Wine Extravaganza 2014 highlights downtown shops and restaurants, with the chance to taste a variety of styles and prices from premium wineries and various regions. The event starts in The Plaza Shops at The Coeur d’Alene Resort, where Treveri cellars from Yakima, Washington will feature a variety of gorgeous and affordable sparkling bubbly wines.
The other cool focus is the wineries from Idaho. One of the biggest evolutions in the Idaho winery scene is the up-and-coming enologist, people who have gone to school to study wine making and viticulture. Wine making in Idaho is still developing an understanding of soil, climate, and what grapes grow best in the Gem State. Stop in and see how the latest Idaho wines compare!
Exit the plaza shops onto Sherman Avenue and watch for sandwich boards and balloons. These mark each winery stop. Stop, taste, and meander into the shops – and enjoy the day!
