What’s on your list for this summer?
If you’re anything like me, you’re reflecting back, smiling on a summer full of memories as well as looking forward to the turn of seasons. I can’t think of a more playful and seamless transition than Labor Day Weekend in the Inland Northwest’s Coeur d’Alene and surrounding area.
Seize the first weekend in September to cross off anything on your summer list you didn’t get to, or double back, repeating your favorites.
No list? No problem. The Coeur d’Alene Resort is famous for its one-stop wonderland of relaxing and entertaining activities.
Here is a sampler, (I mean, who doesn’t love a Sampler of all the finest on the menu?), of how you might spend Labor Day Weekend on the lake:
-
Walk or ride bikes on the Centennial Trail, rewarded at the end with World-Famous Signature Gooey Treats at the Dockside Restaurant.
-
Play a round of golf at the Resort Golf Course. Yes, the course with the iconic floating green at the par 3, 14th Hole. The course Golf Digest called, “not just upscale, [but a] posh… experience.”
-
Reserve your seat and relax amid stunning scenery on one of the many Lake Cruises.
Then, just when you’re thinking it couldn’t get any dreamier, imagine melt in your mouth Hawaiian cuisine. Celebrate at the Resort’s Luau hosted by The Lakeview Terrace.
Authentic Hawaiian hors d’oeuvres will precede signature entrées such as Smoke Roasted Kãhlua Pig and Tropical Coconut Chicken Kabobs. Crafted by the Coeur d’Alene Resort’s culinary artisans, the full, (mouth-watering), menu can be found HERE.
The family-friendly celebration commences on Sunday, September 2 at 5:00 PM. Entertainment includes Fire-Eaters, hula dancing lessons, a Luau costume contest, Tropical Cocktail Bar and live music by Rox DJ and Ukulele Duo.
And that’s not all! Go ahead and hula the night away by taking advantage of the Resort’s Labor Day Luau Dinner Package. Reserve a room for September 2nd and party the night away, knowing a luxurious bed with a pillow-top mattress awaits you. Tickets for the Luau only can be found HERE. Or, to reserve the Dinner + Room Package, go HERE.
Awake on Monday and enjoy breakfast while overlooking the water at the Dockside Restaurant. Or, perhaps it’s more your style to order a juice or coffee and a fresh pastry and stroll the Marina Boardwalk.
Wrap up your fun-filled, memory-making Labor Day weekend with a 2.4-mile hike around Tubbs Hill. Walk the beach-front along City Park just west of The Coeur d’Alene Resort.
Imagine yourself at the end of Labor Day weekend, smiling as you check off the last of the fun, dreamy activities on your Summer List. You’re refreshed and energized, have fabulous stories to share long after the season is over and are excited to plan your next adventures. The transition was not only seamless, it was fun.
You just may find yourself looking out over the sapphire blue lake, inspired to make a new list. This time, the title of your list reads, “Memories to Make on the Lake, Autumn 2018”.
