Perfect 4th of July Weekend – The Coeur d’Alene Resort

With the Fourth of July weekend quickly approaching, many tourists and North Idaho natives are starting to look for the perfect way to spend the holiday weekend. Since Independence Day falls on a Tuesday this year, many people are taking four full days to celebrate — all weekend long, and through Tuesday!
If you have guests in town, or if you’re a guest to the area yourself, we’ve compiled the perfect itinerary for the long weekend. This will be sure to keep you busy, and help you see all the sights in downtown Coeur d’Alene.
Get outside: As the weather in Coeur d’Alene is at its peak best, it’s the perfect time to break out the grill, hit the water and enjoy all that North Idaho has to offer. Whether you’re looking to do some hiking on Tubbs Hill or hit the links at the Floating Green, The Resort Golf Course, there’s something for everyone to do in Coeur d’Alene. Just take a stroll along the Boardwalk to get started!


Grab a brew: After you worked up a sweat during the weekend, you’ll need something to quench your thirst. Head to the Coeur d’Alene Resort for the Red, White & Brews Rooftop Party from 5 to 9 p.m. July 3 to get the party started. Sample delicious beers, exquisite cuisine and live music from Epic Vibe. Grab tickets for the family-friendly event.
Check out the parade: Get down to Sherman Avenue in downtown at 10 a.m. on Independence Day for the annual American Heroes Parade, put on by the Coeur d’Alene Chamber of Commerce. This event is a must-see every year, and ends near Coeur d’Alene City Park with a day of great food and live music. This is a great event for kids and adults, and a perfect way to see downtown.


Share something special:Nothing is more patriotic thank a delicious steak and a front-row seat to the best fireworks show in the Northwest! Celebrate the Fourth of July at the Steaks N’ Sparklers Celebration. This annual tradition features starts at 6 p.m. with a cocktail social, and dinner served at 7 p.m. After the delicious all-you-can-eat buffet, enjoy a private premier seat for the fireworks. Grab a ticket and secure your spot, because this event is sure to fill up.
End with a bang: The firework show on Lake Coeur d’Alene is the stuff of legends! The show can be seen from anywhere in downtown, from Coeur d’Alene City Park to the deck of The Resort. Throw out a blanket and enjoy the show, which starts at 10 p.m. off Independence Point.
