Some of the best Christmas stories are the ones that have been passed down, retold around the dinner table and remembered for decades. This year, The Shotwell Family wants to bring some of those memories to the stage.

The family is specifically looking for personal stories and memories of Christmas in Coeur d’Alene from 1960 through 1965. What was Coeur d’Alene like at Christmas in the early 1960s? Do you have a favorite story about downtown, local traditions, family celebrations or special moments tied to the community? Maybe you had a special visit with Santa or a favorite toy during a special family tradition, or perhaps a memorable musical experience or community lighting ceremony. Whatever the story, the heart of each submission should be a memory rooted in Christmas in Coeur d’Alene during those early-1960s years.

• Selected stories will also receive two complimentary tickets to a performance of their choice.
