Every year Travel + Leisure turns to its readers to select the best hotel in every state. The Coeur d’Alene Resort has secured the spot for Idaho state again this year with its prime lakefront location, luxurious amenities and world-class service.
Travel + Leisure asks readers to share their opinions on the top hotels, resorts, cities, islands, cruise lines, spas, airlines, and more. Readers taking their World’s Best Awards survey ranked hotels in the United States for value, service, location, amenities, and attention to detail.
The list of 50 hotels features a wide variety of locations, from modern, urban big city hotels to rustic ranches in the wide-open country. With its gorgeous lakeside setting and breathtaking views, The Coeur d’Alene Resort is honored to represent the finest in accommodations for Idaho.
Among the most distinguishing features, readers listed The Coeur d’Alene Resort’s award-winning golf course with the world’s only floating green and the top-rated spa that features northwest inspired signature treatments.
The Coeur d’Alene Resort also boasts more than six dining venues and lounges and is ideally situated in downtown Coeur d’Alene, just steps away from the boutique shopping district and arts and entertainment venues.
As seen in the article on MSN.com, “Our readers’ favorite hotel in Idaho is also one of the country’s best places to celebrate Christmas. Every year, this lakefront resort celebrates the season with a 1.5 million light show: the largest in the United States.”
Every year between Thanksgiving and New Year’s, the Holiday Light Show transforms The Coeur d’Alene Resort into a magical holiday setting. Guests can take a Journey to the North Pole cruise on one of The Coeur d’Alene Resort’s fleet of cruise boats that depart nightly across the lake to visit Santa at his North Pole workshop.
Each cruise gets to see the more than 1.5 million lights and a fireworks display at the North Pole. Children also enjoy daily story time with the elves and ending the night with freshly baked cookies delivered to their room by Santa’s elves.
General Manager Bill Reagan says, “Our focus is to create extraordinary experiences for our Guests, time and time again. Each Guest is unique in their preferences, so we pay a lot of attention to the details so our Resort is the perfect destination for any type of getaway.”
