Chef Justin Lee's culinary journey is one marked by passion, dedication, and a commitment to excellence. Born and raised in Eugene, Oregon, Chef Justin's love for cooking began early on in life. He honed his skills and knowledge at the Oregon Coast Culinary Institute in Coos Bay, OR, where he completed his culinary education.

Following his graduation, Chef Justin embarked on an impressive career trajectory. He joined the ACF Culinary Youth Team USA and achieved remarkable success, earning three national gold medals. During his time with the team, Chef Justin also gained invaluable experience working at the renowned Bandon Dunes Golf Resort, solidifying his reputation as a talented and ambitious chef.

Chef Justin's journey led him to Bend, Oregon, where he continued to excel in his career. He worked at a resort near Mt. Bachelor while also serving as the chef mentor for the Willamette High School culinary team. Under his guidance, the team achieved remarkable success, becoming one of the top high school culinary programs in Oregon.

Throughout his career, Chef Justin has held positions at some of Portland's most prestigious restaurants, including Urban Farmer, Departure @ The Nines Hotel, The Original @ The Marriott, and the Crystal Hotel. His leadership and culinary expertise were further demonstrated during his tenure as Executive Chef at Vinotopia, where he revamped the menu and mentored young chefs on a corporate level.

Chef Justin's talents have not gone unnoticed. He made significant contributions as the Executive Chef for the Portland Timbers, participating in major events such as the international auto show in Detroit and the Super Bowl. His culinary prowess was recognized by the James Beard Foundation, and he was honored as a rising star chef. Additionally, Chef Justin's skills were showcased on a national level when he competed in and won the National Lamb Jam Tour.

Driven by a desire to give back, Chef Justin has been actively involved in mentoring and coaching culinary teams, including the Newport High School Culinary Team, which he led to a commendable 3rd place finish at the National Prostart Competition in Washington D.C.

Now, as he embarks on a new chapter in Coeur D'Alene, Idaho, as the Resort Executive Chef for Hagadone Hospitality, Chef Justin looks forward to continuing his journey of culinary excellence. With a focus on developing chefs and mentoring the next generation, he is poised to make a significant impact in his new role and continue his legacy of culinary innovation and community engagement.
