A World-Class Wine Destination In Idaho: Beverly’s Extensive Wine Cellar

When Beverly’s Restaurant opened in 1986, it was immediately recognized as a world-class wine destination. Since then, the list has been awarded multiple consecutive Wine Spectator Magazine Grand Awards, DiRoNa Fine Dining Award, Four Diamond: AAA Award, and more. Beverly’s Wine Cellars are the most extensive restaurant collection in the Northwest. More than 14,000 bottles from almost 2,100 different selections make this a wine lover’s mecca. Of course, they feature the best wines available from the Northwest, but they have been commended in national magazines for our collections of Champagne, German Riesling, and White Burgundy.

What distinguishes Beverly’s wine program and the sommeliers who run it, is their singular ability to relate to their Guests – particularly those who just like to enjoy a nice bottle with dinner. Justine Recor is a Spokane, Washington native who first became interested in the world of wine at just 11 years old, helping her mother label bottles at a tasting room she worked in. She has been part of the hospitality industry since she turned 21 when she began working her way through college to earn her B.S. in Psychology. During her time at Eastern University, her passion for wine was reignited when she took a college wine course, motivating her to move to the Dallas, Texas area to pursue her dream of becoming a Sommelier. After a few years of studying, taking exams, and working as an Assistant General Manager at a local wine bar, Justine completed her Certified Sommelier Exam (Level 2) and moved back to Spokane to raise her son and take on the role of Wine Director at Spokane Restaurant, Luna. During the Pandemic, Justine shifted from the Court of Master Sommeliers (CMS) to the Wine & Spirits Education Trust (WSET) so she could attend classes online and quickly completed her Diploma Certification (Level 4). She has since switched back to the CMS and has exams planned to complete her Advanced Certification this year with hopes of sitting for the Master Sommelier Exam in 2024.

Take A Wine Tour

Monday through Wednesday, we offer a complimentary wine taste to accompany tours of our on-site cellars. Come meet one of our nationally accredited Sommeliers at 4:30 and join us for this 15-20 minute excursion within the building.
